Hi Hello,

I need help fitting a Retriever, Mining Barge 5 million one

My first mining ship, I will probably use it to mine the standard ores, nothing special to start off with

Drones, stripminers, miners whatever

This... not much in the way of options with a Retriever.

If you're working with a hauler you should have enough cpu to replace one of the cargo expanders with any MLU you have the skills for.

If you're mining in Amarr 0.5 and your shield skills are dodgy you might consider an em- resist rig as they're quite cheap, but honestly you should be fine without it. In Minnie space you may find Warrior Is more efficient than the hobs.

But mostly your drones should be able to take out any high sec rats well before you get into trouble so the survey scanner will definitely do you better service than any kind of tank module.

I also use to use
2x strip miner I's
1x cap recharger I
1x co-processor I and 1x small armor rep II

Back in the day and for ops where we had a hauler and didn't know all that much about tanking spawns.

Don't forget the mining drones :)

OK, all laughter aside, this is how I fitted my Retriever.

High: 2x MSM-2 (started off with strip miner-1)
Med: survey scanner II (started off with named)
Low: PDS, expanded cargohold-2
Drones: 5x hornet-1

I always mined into giant secure cans or had a hauler alt standing by.

This was mine until I got my Hulk (no sense in going through the Covetor since the Hulk is only a few days after it).

I'd use MLU's rather than cargo expanders if I was jet-canning and the other way around if I wasn't.
